Over the past couple of months, though largely stuck at home like the rest of the world, we have kept busy and slowly chipped away at our mid-century home renovation list. Our very LENGTHY list. We sold the Forest House and are tackling this entirely new and somewhat daunting project.
In this two-part video, we walk you through our newest mid-century project house, revealing its current condition, plus explain our extensive plans for what needs to be done to preserve the home’s historic, mid-century charm.
This home is about 70 years old and in need of a little TLC, but we also have some careful modernizations planned.
Also, this video shows you a behind-the-scenes look at how we really talk about homes we are considering for purchase. We take a hard look at the current state and then decide what’s needed to restore to its former glory, what is required to bring the home into the modern age, how much we can do ourselves, and finally – how much we think it will all cost. $$$
We hope you enjoy this revealing mid-century house video tour! And just to adequately prep you, get ready to see more knotty pine, “retro” wallpaper, and doors (north of 25!!) than you thought could possibly fit into a house y’all!
Here are the direct links in case the player doesn’t show properly above: Mid-Century Home Over Part 1 and Part 2.
And please stay tuned!! We have tons of renovation projects underway and lots of new projects and DIYs to share with you!
