We are in a limbo of sorts. We packed up all our things into a moving trailer and closed on the Palms House. The schools in our new town start 2 weeks earlier than in Tampa. This meant we had to relocate to Athens before closing on the new house – aka, before we were ready.
So our “house” right now is a cabin.
Okay….maybe not this cabin. Our cabin is newer, but in truth, this run-down cabin is a LOT bigger than the one we’re staying in…..all four of us…and our dog….in fewer than 300 sq ft for the next few weeks. Yes…really.
We are making the best it though. Exploring our new town…checking out the natural beauty and glorious weather. The new house, which we’ve decided to nickname the “Forest House,” is adjacent a park with waterfalls and hiking trails. Our family has spent some time checking things out and finding our way around.
At night, we are a little cramped in the cabin, but the outside patio is providing us some reprieve and extra living space. Our dog, Evie, also approves.
The kids just started the school year and we are hopeful we can close on the Forest House in about 2 weeks. Keep us in your thoughts as we wait….not so patiently.
